B.C. PARKS LITTERED WITH GARBAGE, HUMAN FECES: EXPERTS

Summary: In this article, they explain about how the parks are becoming more and more uncared for then they use to be. People are littering and doing things in these parks that should never be allowed. People are not looking after the park, because it should never be like this in the first place. If someone did drop something, why don’t someone else pick it up(things that are normal like a can) Because this is not a hospital or a road, people(the government) doesn’t give much care for it. A quote from the article would be,
“It is unusual for the council to criticize government, McCall said. "But every time they want to put more money into health and education, they cripple parks," he said.
Bob Gunn, chairman of the council and head of the fish, wildlife and recreation program at the B.C. Institute of Technology, said he is increasingly alarmed about the state of parks.
This year, after decades of taking students into Garibaldi Provincial Park, about 100 kilometers north of Vancouver, Gunn found garbage along the trails and signs people were defecating beside campsites, probably because all outhouses on one side of the campsite were locked, he said.”

Opinion:
This article is not something I would want to read in an every day paper or on the internet. Not only is it disturbing but it would make you question a number of things. Having all this trash around and human “doings”, he it hurting the fresh air and the homes of animals, Killing most I can imagine and hurting humans that use this park every day. People cannot bring their babies or kids there because not only is it affecting their health but the environment. Trash doesn’t not help the earth or the air. Having parks littered, people thinks its just the park when they don’t realize how bad the air quality well get and how the animals are being effected. If the park as water, the water supply is going to be down and dirty. People should really start to smarten up.
